Being chased is an important Beatle skill so I guess they have "levelled up".
Nemulon, in bouncer mode, looks a bit like Robert Cop. Remember Robert Cop? No? Good.
I broke down the strip for parts – plots and character designs were repurposed, or character intent was reused for other stories – parts were used in projects right up to Wicked Things. The central premise was derivative and I couldn’t make it seem new enough to myself to want to make more. I didn’t think the central character was compelling.
Also people kept sending me pictures of a Chinese knock-off Robocop toy called Robert Cop, sometimes three times a week. It broke my spirit.
This is the comic creator openness and insight I come here for!
Thank you for filling us in.

Probably for the best. I’m fairly sure the Chinese knockoff toy predated your comic anyway. đ

Hmm, more shenanigans in the time stream! Maybe a future Destroy History plotline? Shelley must prevent John from successfully developing Robert Cop so she travels to 90s China!
Sorry to inform you that many, maybe even most, of us remember Robert Cop. I’m pretty sure that many decades in the future your last words will be “I’m finally ready to get back to Robert Cop!”
I’ve been on an old ’60s mersey/beat music kick since beginning this comic, and imagining them having their canonical personalities whilst listening is super amusing
I know you don’t like mixing your universes (altho you’re the one who mentioned Robert Cop) but since this is an alternate time-line, it’d be a hoot to see Desmond Fishman…except (wait for it)…he’s NOT a fish-man.
Obviously I never drew it but it was a character who had, if I recall, circular saws for hands. Given the difficult of drawing ellipses at the best of times, I abandoned the series.
I like how John asks to go that way and Paul tells him to go in the opposite direction :]
And how they ended up with Ringo leading on, followed by George, than Paul and “Jane” side by side and John in the rear – at least that’s how I see it.
What they should do with Freddie’s fans? NOT stage diving obviously. The cavern floor was crowded – they should have been able to catch poor old Freddie!
You could have kept quiet about it, John. But you had to say the magic words “The Return of Robert Cop”. Or I think those were the words. Your way with a storyline and wordplay? Absolutely a hit.

I absolutely remember Robert Cop, and continue my fervent hope that a whole series of Robert Cop adventures is forthcoming, someday…
Also, the Beatles appear to need help. They need somebody.
Alaric
But not just anybody.
day
they need *someone* though!

I loved Robert Cop, too. Why did nothing come of Robert Cop?

I also liked Robert Cop, it had a good supporting cast. Sadly it has disappeared off the face of the earth.

I so remember Robert Cop. Fondly, too. Not a bad sort, him.

Perhaps Robert Cop is really Nemulon stranded in time after Shelley’s last and most disastrous mission?
Or perhaps we should just demand a Robert Cop vs. Nemulon crossover.

They now need a hide placiillllllplÄș

Not just being chased, of course, but being chased by teenage girls. In black and white. (Except for Nemulon’s eerie eyes.)

I call this Nemulon form “Mean Mister Mustard”.
Now, quickly boys! Find a limo so that you can climb in one side and then out the other!

I’m trying to think if there’s a Fishman cameo in this story… there isn’t, but anyone who bought the ebook version got a big chunk of Des in the back!

I remember Robert Cop too! I always wanted to find out who bisected that guy.

I know of “Roger Cop” from the episode of “Miraculous Adventures of Lady bug and Cat Noir”.
