Here’s a song about hands.

It’s time for music. Ersatz royalty-free quasi-Beatle music. Perhaps the influence of "Jane" has damaged the Beatles as lyricists, but I personally think "It's Time To Be Holding Your Hand" is as good as anything Lennon & McCartney conjured.

  1. If the Beatles’ real songs were like that, they could have been just as successful as Chowder!

  2. Everything seems going in the good direction. But I don’t like Cilla’s way to see them. Something terrible is going to happen?????

  3. I’m getting a weird feeling… like a boss health meter is about to appear!

… What is with *her* handbag…?

    1. I was wondering the same thing about the handbag…

    2. It looks e-villll!

  4. Hey, I thought Nemulon’s eyes were supposed to be yellow!

    1. Not always, only when he’s accessing the time stream!!!

  5. What I can’t tell is whether Cilla’s “hmmm” is in reaction to the crowd enjoying the Beatles, or has she noticed that Shelley is talking to her purse?

  6. Probably A. Pseudonym

She’s from the Ministry of History in the Beatles-were-bigger-than-Jesus universe. Holy battling timelines, Batman!

  7. I tell you, that Cilla is a wrong ‘un. No wonder she turned into the Scourge of the Flight Attendant in her later years.

    1. I understand she went from White to Black early on…;^)

  8. Evil Leaper! Evil Leaper!

      1. That was meant to say “Like button”, between .

        1. Argh. Sorry, John.

        2. I’ll be cleaning this spill in aisle 4 up for months

    1. Complete with evil handbag!

    2. Yup, my thoughts exactly.

  9. They’re almost as good as the Rutles!

    1. I’m shocked. And stunned.

      1. Very stunned.

    2. the Rutles were a farce, but a legitimately good farce. Real talent there.

  10. And the next songs on the schedule:
    “Spending Time in a Mustard-Coloured U-Boat”,
“Super-Hard Carbon Stones Accompany Jane in the Atmosphere”
    and
    “The Day Before Today”…

Also: Is Cilla’s handbag some kind of evil Nemulon!?

    1. Would that be a Mean Mister Mustard-Colored U-Boat?

    2. Followed by The Ignoramus on Higher Ground

    3. And songs like “She Paid the Fare”, “Assistance!”, and “A Difficult 24 Hours”.

    4. And “It’s the Middle of the Night and There’s Birdsong”, and “Maximilian’s Precious Metal Implement”.

  11. My mind automatically mapped the first two lines of the song onto the tune of “You can’t do that”, but then the next panel didn’t scan.

  12. Nemulon looks quite taken with the plucky lads from Liverpool.

  13. Those aren’t the lyrics I remember…

  14. Also, I suspect that we are about to learn something about why history needed to be fixed…

  15. Maybe Cilla’s just thinking she might get a hit song or two from Paul.

  16. Cilla’s purse is looking awfully suspicious here…
