A new scenario

I love fake interfaces, and the Ministry of History's OS is called "Braun". Is it a supercomputer? A brain in a jar? BOTH?

  1. Shelley can’t wait to go for now and incredibles adventures. That is really an awesome side of her♡. I love how concerned are the others at the idea of what she could do to some defenseless guys from the 60s. They knows her very well.

  2. Isn’t Braun the opposite of brain? 🙂

And the “I heart Babs!!!” is soooo Shelley. Especially the exclamation points.

  3. Oh man am I ever late to the party! So damn glad to see Shelley in Distroy History again!!!

  4. Indeed, god help the Fab Four but Shelley may be their only hope.

  5. “Apples?” 🙂

    1. Apple Records, founded by The Beatles themselves.

  6. Does the Ministry have some kind of draconian policy regarding personal items on desks? Because those are some grim and cheerless workspaces.

    1. The misery of hotdesking. Thin client austerity spaces.

  7. That exterior the Ministry of Justice building in Whitehall. I used to walk past it everyday when we were allowed outside

  8. The boring old Beatles, and not the Beetles, Paula, Judy, Georgina and Ringo? http://scarygoround.com/badmachinery/?date=20131212

  9. Did Shelley go into the future to buy a copy of a 2017 cookbook, or did a future MoH operative come back and leave it behind?

    1. Yeah why is she reading that!? Not only the time thing but….is Shelley that into cooking?

      1. Shelley is a polymath and a whiz in the kitchen. Destroy History does not respect chronology as you understand it. It has the same woolly relationship with what year it is that Giant Days (Boom!Box edition) did.

        1. After today’s Patreon post, I now think you-know-who went back in time and gave that book to her.

  10. The Beatles overcame the Blue Meanies… and soon they’ll have to handle… the Ginger Fringe!!

  11. Reminds me of Tom Lehrer’s “Wernher von Braun” song commemorating the seamless transition from designing rV2 ockets for the Luftwaffe to Saturn rockets for NASA.

“Vonce the rockets are up, who cares vere they come down? That’s not my department, says Wernher von Braun”.

Just that this strip’s Braun rather sings “Once Shelley is up…”

  12. Is the computer under Shelley’s desk Nemulon, or does it just have a Nemulon-inspired case? (I think I’d want one either way.)

    1. All part of the groundbreaking BRAUN system, Brian!

    2. It’s strange to see a piece of electronics that’s not Zambian.

  13. Did Shelley just get this job because she IM’ed that she hearts Babs? SCANDAL!

    1. Could be, though I’m guessing Babs is much more willing to accept Shelley as a necessary evil in their line of work than other Ministry execs.

  14. Might I say Shelley is rockin’ that pose in the second-to-last panel?

    1. Indeed. She got the assignment without even having to say “prease”.

  15. Is that a Nemulon icon on the left side of the computer screen?

    1. It definitely is!

      1. I’m glad everyone is loving the Braun interface because fake UIs on TV shows are one of my top ten favourite things in the world.

  16. BRAUN means Brown in English.
